Jakarta, Aktual.com – Australian Health Department on Friday said 44 people were infected Zika throughout 2016 and most of them carry the virus after traveling to several countries, including Singapore.

“For women pregnant or planning to become pregnant, we recommend delaying travel plans or delay pregnancy,” said the Australian Department of Health spokesman was quoted as saying “The Guardian” on Saturday (3/9).

Meanwhile, the WHO official website explains Zika virus spread is usually accompanied by a surge in cases of microcephaly and Guillain-Barr syndrome. First discovered in monkeys in Uganda in 1947, Zika affects humans first found in 1952. Zika infects with the large scale was first recorded in 2007 on the Yap island.
