Jakarta, Aktual.com – PT State Electric Company (Persero) Distribution Banten West Java extinguish four electrical substations in flooded areas Bandung regency, West Java, to anticipate unwanted things that can trigger a short circuit.
“As of Wednesday afternoon, there were four electrical substations are extinguished. A total of 3,700 electricity customers in flooded areas currently affected by this outage,” said Supervisor PLN Jabar Banten (DJBB) Suargina in Bandung, West Java, on Wednesday (8/6).
According to him, the outage was done as a security procedure for electricity in flooded areas. Among other when the floodwaters had reached an altitude of electrical installations, then blackouts do.
“Extinction of electricity was already an electric current security procedures, as well as anticipate things that are not desirable to customers,” he said.
He said in some areas the water level has reached the threshold of security substation which is about 50 centimeters.
Flood Alert PLN team also deployed to the flooded area in Baleendah and Dayeuhkolot. The team was assisted by technical service of PLN Unit Majalaya and surrounding areas.
