Jakarta, Aktual.com – Chairman of Commission VII, Gus Irawan Pasaribu, promised to explore allegations of environmental pollution and the potential for social conflict over plans to build Gas Fired Power Plant (Power Plant) Java I in Muara Tawar.
More Gus Irawan asked the Ministry of Environment to issue permits thorough and appropriate EIA procedures. He insists it should not happen pollution of the project.
“We are seeking more information about it. If proven to have an impact on the environment, certainly should not be. That is whay EIA license should fit the correct procedure,” he said, Thursday (28/7)
As known, the process of this project is mentioned many experienced irregularities so several times to delay the tender stage to change the auction scenario. The reasons for the delay in the tender because of demand factors ‘bidder’.
However, PT State Electricity Company (PLN) as the parties attempt to cover-up the project a number of reasons bidders to submit an extended time schedule data in the tender process.
“Their reason are so varied, just ask the bidders,” said Director of PLN Corporate Planning , Nieke Widyawati.
Allegedly among the bidders who filed an extension of time due to submit the data is not ready konsortium and technical.
According to the Executive Director of the Center of Energy and Resources Indonesia (CERI), Yusri Usman, technically projected construction site in Muara Tawar are not strategic and a potential violation of environmental aspects for the location turned out to be densely populated.
“Java development plan PLTGU I projected in densely populated locations, if imposed built in Muara bargaining will lead to social conflict and the environment,” he concluded.
