Jakarta, Aktual.com – The Maritime and Fisheries Minister, Susi Pudjiastuti have a different view to objectives of reclamation project Pantai Utara Jakarta. He affirmed, the trillions project should be done in accordance with the wishes of the people are not entrepreneurs.

Before his opinion, Susi expressed his desire to build a giant freshwater reservoir, to meet the water needs of the residents of Jakarta.

But unfortunately, he regrets, the plan failed because the Teluk Jakarta reclamation project had already been executed. Though true, this water reservoir project must first be built.

“I actually want to build a dam to store excess water in Jakarta, to be accommodated as drinking water and fresh water. Dam has not finished but the islands are already happening,” regrets Susi in a discussion of reclamation, in the building of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), Jakarta, Tuesday (4/10).

Further explained Susi, fresh water reservoirs have become part of Jakarta water governance. Supposedly, the manufacturing giant water reservoirs run in tandem with the development of Giant Sea Wall.

Moreover, the coast of Jakarta is a national strategic area, as the decision by some attractive Ministry management authority to Bappenas Jakarta Bay.

“So where is the place of water ? I used to say, we can not make this Jakarta city administration only partial only. And the government is correct to bring this to Bappenas to be reassessed as a national program,” he explained.

He also wondered why the city administration is led by the Governor of Jakarta impressed ‘stubborn’ in order that this reclamation project could soon walk.

Expectations also lead to smuggling interests. While President Joko Widodo asserts that reclamation projects must be driven by relying on the public interest and not a handful of parties.

“But the islands have built also different interests. The President had a message, the reclamation project driven not so private government-driven,” he said.
