Jakarta, Aktual.com – Since served as Coordinating Minister for Maritime and concurrent duties as Acting Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, it makes Luhut Binsar Panjaitan (LBP) began to realize that the project 35 GW is an unrealistic ambition to be completed by 2019.
This time he plans to verify the certainty of the amount of capacity that is capable that able finish in 2019. However, he estimates that the construction is only able to achieve commercial on date or commercial operation (COD) about 20 GW by 2019.
“Projects 35 GW we want to count exactly how many GW completed in 2019 anyway, how become construction? But there may be 10 GW are under construction. So maybe that was completed only about 20 GW are already COD,” he concluded.
Actually Luhut said, since the beginning of this project has been estimated to be unrealistic by Rizal Ramli when he served as Coordinating Minister for Maritime and Resources. At that time he asks Minister Sudirman Said along with the National Energy Board to conduct a re-evaluation of the program.
“I will ask the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources and DEN to conduct re-evaluation, which really makes sense. Do not given the target is too high but difficult to accomplish. For a more realistic,” he said.
As known, the megaproject program power plants with total capacity of 35 GW is a flagship Government program Jokowi and Jusuf Kalla.
