Jakarta, 11/8 (ANTARA) - ASEAN parliaments have committed to encouraging the implementation of the resolutions reached at the 44th ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA) General Assembly. Deputy head of the Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation Agency (BKSAP) of the House of Representatives (DPR) Putu Supadma Rudana delivered the remarks in a statement received here on Friday. "After the resolutions are approved, what's next? All AIPA countries must immediately implement these resolutions because the commitment of this general assembly is actually the aspiration of the entire ASEAN community," he said. Thirty resolutions have been approved by the ASEAN parliaments at the AIPA, including those on issues of political stability, the issue of Myanmar, and the South China Sea, he highlighted. "Of course, we will hand over these aspirations to the respective governments to immediately implement what is needed to be able to provide strengthening of prosperity, stability, solidity, and peace in the ASEAN region," he said. According to Rudana, the general assembly has also agreed to expedite the green economy transition, develop technological innovation for sustainable development and growth, and ensure energy and water security. He also highlighted that ASEAN parliaments need to monitor other issues discussed by each committee of the 44th AIPA General Assembly, including gender equality, youth involvement, palm oil and nickel issue, the Russia-Ukraine conflict, and sustainable development goals (SDGs). As per the report on the results of the organizational committee of the general assembly, it has been agreed that ASEAN nations must be solid, look after each other, and work together to safeguard the region, including by strengthening ASEAN interests through their parliaments, he noted. He further said that the delegates who participated in the 44th general assembly signed a joint communiqué and agreed that ASEAN has an important role in maintaining regional peace and global stability. Jakarta, aktual.com – Parlemen ASEAN telah berkomitmen untuk mendorong implementasi resolusi yang dicapai pada Sidang Umum ke-44 ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA).

Wakil Kepala Badan Kerjasama Antar-Parlemen (BKSAP) Dewan Perwakilan Rakyat (DPR) Putu Supadma Rudana menyampaikan pernyataan tersebut dalam sebuah keterangan yang diterima pada Jumat (11/8/2023).

“Setelah resolusi disetujui, apa yang selanjutnya? Semua negara anggota AIPA harus segera melaksanakan resolusi ini karena komitmen dari sidang umum ini sebenarnya adalah aspirasi seluruh masyarakat ASEAN,” ujarnya.

Tiga puluh resolusi telah disetujui oleh parlemen-parlemen ASEAN pada AIPA, termasuk resolusi tentang stabilitas politik, isu Myanmar, dan Laut China Selatan, katanya.

“Tentu saja, kita akan meneruskan aspirasi-aspirasi ini kepada pemerintah-pemerintah yang bersangkutan untuk segera melaksanakan apa yang diperlukan guna memberikan penguatan terhadap kemakmuran, stabilitas, kekokohan, dan perdamaian di wilayah ASEAN,” ucapnya.

Menurut Rudana, sidang umum juga telah sepakat untuk mempercepat transisi menuju ekonomi hijau, mengembangkan inovasi teknologi untuk pembangunan dan pertumbuhan berkelanjutan, serta memastikan keamanan energi dan air.

Dia juga menyoroti bahwa parlemen-parlemen ASEAN perlu memantau isu-isu lain yang dibahas oleh setiap komite Sidang Umum AIPA ke-44, termasuk kesetaraan gender, keterlibatan pemuda, isu minyak sawit dan nikel, konflik Rusia-Ukraina, dan sustainable development goals (SDGs).

Berdasarkan laporan hasil komite organisasi sidang umum, telah disepakati bahwa negara-negara anggota ASEAN harus bersatu, saling menjaga, dan bekerja sama untuk menjaga wilayah tersebut, termasuk dengan memperkuat kepentingan ASEAN melalui parlemen mereka, katanya.

Dia lebih lanjut mengatakan bahwa para delegasi yang berpartisipasi dalam sidang umum ke-44 menandatangani sebuah komunikasi bersama dan sepakat bahwa ASEAN memiliki peran penting dalam menjaga perdamaian regional dan stabilitas global.

Sidang Umum ke-44 AIPA diadakan sebagai bagian dari kepemimpinan DPR dalam AIPA pada tahun 2023, sejalan dengan kepemimpinan ASEAN Indonesia.

Sidang umum diadakan di Jakarta dari 7 hingga 9 Agustus 2023, dengan tema “Responsive Parliaments for a Stable and Prosperous ASEAN.”
