Jakarta, Aktual.com – Coordinating Minister for Maritime and Resources Rizal Ramli confirms that the construction of Jakarta Bay G Islands, canceled permanently.
“We decided that the Island G canceled so on,” said Rizal at BPPT building, Thamrin, Central Jakarta, Thursday (30/6).
The decision, said Ramli, based on our research results of a joint committee between the Ministry for Maritime, Marine Affairs and Fisheries, and the Ministry of Environment and Forests stating that G Island development including committed serious violations.
“The situation is harmful to the environment, strategically vital project, the port of marine traffic,” said Ramli.
Explained, Island G stands just above PLN wires embedded in the Bay of Jakarta. As well, disrupt the flow in and out of fishing vessels into the port of Muara Angke.
