Jakarta, Aktual.com – criminal law expert Chairul Huda had a view that the execution of death row is the authority of the President. That is, the executions must have got an order from the President.

“The execution of death is the President’s decision, before deciding to execute the President would give consideration,” said Huda, when contacted on Tuesday (2/8).

Friday (29/7) last week Attorney just execute four death row inmates. Of 4 people, one of them namely Michael Titus Igweh. Ironically Nigerians were yet to get answers to filing for clemency to President Joko Widodo.

Igweh, death row inmates to Nigerian drug cases never get answers to clemency submitted to Jokowi. Until finally, the Attorney perform the execution.

The decision of the Prosecutor has received strong protests from the legal counsel and their families, because the feeling Attorney General Muhammad Prasetyo do not have a sense of humanity. In fact, lawyers Igweh, Sitor Situmorang plans to sue the Attorney General.

In addition another reason is the delay in the execution of 10 other death row inmates. Where three of them also seek a clemency and have not been decided by Jokowi.
