Jakarta, Aktual.com – Recreation Sports Olympic World or better known as ‘Tafisa World Games 2016 (Tafisa 2016)’ in Jakarta is expected to be the momentum to develop a sports culture and health as well as raise the dignity of Indonesia to the international arena.
“This is an opportunity for Indonesia. With a host Tafisa 2016, the opportunity for Indonesia to develop local sports culture to the international community is more open,” said Secretary of Ministry Sports and Youth Alfitra Salamm in his statement to the media journalists in Jakarta, Tuesday (16/02).
According to him, the Tafisa World Games 2016, which was centered in Taman Impian Jaya Ancol, October 6 to 12, some sports from Indonesia will be introduced to the participants of the 110 countries involved in the Olympic class championship was the sixth time.
Original sports Indonesia which will be introduced in between is a game stilts, long sandals, kites, jump Batu Nias, gymnastics area and the creation of poco-poco gymnastics, martial arts culture, old bikes (ontel), traditional wrestling and so on.
“We must capitalize on this moment. This is an opportunity to introduce the sports culture in Indonesia, “said the man who is also the Secretary of the Executive Committee ‘Tafisa World Games 2016’.
The government’s desire to develop a sporting culture into the international arena was welcomed by the host of Jakarta. In fact, preparation for the World Games 2016 Tafisa been made including in preparing the place.
In addition to Taman Impian Jaya Ancol will be the location of the opening and closing, Jakarta area that will be used to host this championship among Taman Mini Indonesia Indah and Thamrin-Sudirman Street.
“It is an honor for the people of Indonesia, especially Jakarta residents to witness a variety of cultural attractions and recreational sports from around the world,” said Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta for Culture and Tourism, Sylviana Murni.
Especially for Jakarta ‘Tafisa World Games 2016’ will be used again as a media campaign to introduce again a lot of things that exist in the capital including heritage areas that are currently being proposed to UNESCO as the Old City area.
