Namun beberapa hari yang lalu Induk Perusahaan PT Freeport Indonesia (PTFI) yakni Freeport-McMoRan menyatakan keberatan atas dokumen dari pemerintah Indonesia yang menghitung nilai saham 51 perse tidak mencakup potensi pendapatan Freeport hingga 2041.
“We have received the Goverment’s position on divestment dated September 28, 2017. We strongly disagree with the statement incouded in document and submit our response and clarifications of the inaccuracies contained in the Goverment’s position,” kata Surat Freeport-McMoRan yang ditandatangani h CEO Freeport McMoran Richard Adkerson.
“Freeport has worked to be responsive to the Goverment’s aspiration for 51 percen ownership but has been consistently clear that the divestment is conditional upon the transactions reflecting fair value of the business through 2041 and that Freeport retain management and governance control,” pungkasnya.
