Jakarta, Aktual.com – Gerindra Party is hoping to duet with the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P) in the elections of Jakarta. If PDI-P does not support the incumbent, Jakarta Governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama as Ahok, Gerindra willing their candidate , Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno become a candidate for vice governor.

“We believe Sandi can win the contestation elections in 2017, especially coupled with the PDIP could repeat 2012,” said DPP Chairman Gerindra Ahmad Riza Patria in the area of Cikini, Central Jakarta, Thursday (15/9).

Vice Chairman of Commission II of the House of representative (DPR) is looking forward to the PDI-P to not support Ahok.

“We hope PDIP could support other candidates outside Ahok,” he said.

However, because until now the party has yet to decide support, Gerindra was selecting Sandi as a candidate for governor

It is also the possible candidate of the Gerindra later becoming deputy governor when paired candidates carried PDIP.

PDI is a party has the highest seat in the DPRD of Jakarta with 28 seats. Meanwhile, Gerindra 15 seats, 11 seats PKS, PPP, PKB, PAN Democrats 10 seats and two seats.

“As the party winning the second, we no exaggeration to carry our best cadres for vice-governor,” he said.(Musdi Anto)
