Jakarta, Aktual.com – President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) asked law enforcement agencies to follow up disclosure of drug cases involving alleged apparatus as revealed by the Commission for Disappearances and Victims of Violence, Haris Azhar.
“The president said all, anyone officers involved in the context of law enforcement, especially drug would have to be scrubbed and swept,” said the Special Staff of President Jokowi Field Communication Johan Budi SP in Jakarta, Wednesday (3/8).
President through Johan Budi said it was related to the recognition of information from death row drug cases Freddy Budiman.
“When I heard that information, the President said all anyone officers involved in the context of law enforcement, especially drug would have to be brushed and washed,” he said.
However, Johan said that the information must be supported by evidence that the strong involvement of the relevant authorities.
“The president wants to give the public an understanding that all people may argue, critique, information relating to the performance of the apparatus. But should be considered mature first before shared (distributed) to the public. Moreover, serious nature and to the institution and its credibility,” he said.
According to Johan, President Jokowi also reminded the government officials and the law to see criticism or information as input to make corrections into.
“It should be emphasized that the criticism and the information should be seen as an input for improvements in,” said Johan.
