Jakarta, Aktua – Vice Chairman of the MPR RI, Sapta Oesman Odang (Oso) revealed that in the era of globalization is indispensable understanding of the four pillars of nationality, in particular to young people in the school environment.
“Because of (the four pillars) it is our last defense tool in strengthening a sense of nationhood,” said Oso in the socialization of the four pillars of the hundreds of junior-high school students Labschool Rawamangun, East Jakarta, Tuesday (8/3).
In fact, continued Oso, understanding in strengthening the sense of nationality should be given from a child in elementary school (SD).
“We’re not even supposed to introduce and give an understanding since elementary school in order to be understood about the four of pillars,” he stated.
Still said Oso, to achieve an understanding of nationhood there have been discussions with the relevant ministers to be included in the school curriculum.
“I expected entry into the curriculum on understanding the four pillars and is currently being conducted talks with the Minister of PMK (the Coordinating Minister of Human Development and Culture) so that it can be supported and realized.”
