Jakarta, Aktual.com – Golkar Regional Representative Council (DPD) of DKI hinted do not support Governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok) in the 2017 elections.
“Obviously Golkar will carry candidate of governor on party lines,” said Secretary of Golkar DPD DKI, Zainuddin, when contacted in Jakarta, Wednesday (18/5).
He said, it is not rational when Golkar support Ahok who have expressed progressing from individual lines. Though he is acknowledges the political dynamics is quite high and change decisions may occur, but Zainuddin assess the possibility of his party carrying Ahok is very difficult to be realized.
Golkar Party, he said, did not want to waste nine seats held in the City Council. Thus better Golkar coalition with other political parties in the elections later. “Golkar is huge coalition with Gerindra and PDI-P,” explained Him.
Golkar wish like that, given party has made a political calculation chances of winning the next five-yearly party democracy, such as the potential of votes obtained. “It’s all calculated. So even a coalition with Gerindra, PDI-P and PKS,” explained Chairman of the Golkar faction in Kebon Sirih.
