Jakarta, Aktual.com – Vice President Jusuf Kalla opened an international seminar of The Muslim World League (MWL) or “Rabita Al ‘Alam Al Islami”, in the Buya Hamka Hall, the Great Mosque of Al-Azhar, Jakarta, Thursday (4/8).
Seminar with the theme ‘Role Mosque in Prevent Defeating Thinking’ the condition with dialogue and discussions with several speakers.
Some of the informant is a MWL Secretary General Sheikh Prof. Abdullah A At Turkey, 3rd President BJ Habibie, Vice Chairman of the Assembly Hidayat Nur Wahid and high priest Masjid Istiqlal KH Nasaruddin Umar.
MWL is a non-governmental organization Islamic world centered in Mecca and founded on May 18, 1962.
MWL is officially located in Indonesia based on the MOU agreement with the Ministry of Religion. This MOU becomes MWL umbrella for all activities in Indonesia. MWL representative in Indonesia, led by Fahd Al Harbi MS.
Some of the activities carried out MWL in Indonesia, among others, the construction of mosques and shcool, building latrines, as well as compensation for the poor.
One of the recent activities organized by MWL in Indonesia, namely the implementation of the International Conference on the theme ‘Moderate Islam and terrorism and sectarianism’ in Lombok, on 25 to 29 July 2016 in collaboration with the Government of Provonsi NTB and MUI opened by President Joko Widodo.
