Jakarta, Aktual.com – Vice-Chairman of the Committee III (House Of Representatives) DPD RI Fahira Idris said all parties are obliged to respect the law enforcement process currently by Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) into alleged corruption by the Chairman of DPD Irman Gusman.
“We need to give space and time to the KPK work in a professional and transparent in investigating this case,” said Idris Fahira in a written statement sent via “WhatsApp” messages on Sunday (19/9).
Fahira Idris, who is currently undergoing the Hajj in Saudi Arabia said that, as a member of the DPD he hopes the public can understand that the cases occurred in Irman Gusman are a purely private matter.
Although Irman Gusman has served as Chairman of DPD RI but as an institution, the DPD does not have the authority about budgeting, especially authority related to the maintenance of sugar import quotas are suspected to be because of alleged corruption.
“I understand, after this incident the level of public confidence in the DPD definitely disturbed. However, I believe that with the passage of time, the public can understand that this incident purely private or individual problems,” he said.
