Jakarta, Aktual.com – Attorney General’s Office (AGO) has formally stopped the case of alleged abuses perpetrated the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), Novel Baswedan.
As stated by the Attorney General for General Crimes (Jampidum), Noor Rachmad during a press conference at the AGO complex, Jakarta.
“Handling of the case Novel Baswedan halted by prosecution,” said Noor Rachmad, Monday (22/2).
He explained that there are two reasons behind it to stop lawsuits against the case. The first is not enough evidence, and secondly because the case had already expired.
“That underlying the issuance of a decree in the name of the suspect,” he said.
Termination charges to Novel Baswedan case in a decision letter numbered B – 03 / N.7.10 / Ep.1 / 02 / 2016 signed by prosecutor’s office (Kejari) Bengkulu Made Sudarmawan.
“With the publication of this letter, the handling of the case of a suspect Novel Baswedan declared finished,” said Noor Rachmad.
