Jakarta, aktual.com – Nippon Paint returns to hold an international Architecture and Interior Design competition, the Asia Young Designer Awards (AYDA) 2020/21. It is the 9th year for this prestigious young talent search.

Here in Indonesia, AYDA is supported by well-recognized names in Architecture and Interior Design while also collaborating on an international scale with Harvard University Graduate School of Design (GSD) in Boston, Massachusetts, United States.

“Nippon Paint believes that AYDA must continue to evolve and develop beyond just competition. So, we collaborate with various stakeholders, including architects, interior designers, developers, students, lecturers, industry practitioners, and business entities, to unite and redefine how the future will go beyond the concepts of color and design, as well as the emotional, economic, and social impact,” CEO (Decorative Paints) Nippon Paint Indonesia, Jon Tan says, Sunday (7/2/2021).

Furthermore, he also says that this year’s theme is “Forward: Human-Centred Design,” which reflects innovative designs as sustainable current and future solutions, focusing on the social aspects of population growth in the globalization era.

“We realize that COVID-19 is a major global issue right now. This is a challenge for us all to adjust to changes, including major transformation at AYDA 2020/21, which will see events such as roadshow, submission, coaching, mentoring, workshop and Grand Final held virtually,” Jon Tan further adds.
