AYDA 2020/21 has also set up virtual roadshows at 17 universities in Indonesia with 579 participants, and 11 finalists have been selected for AYDA 2020/21.
This year’s AYDA Gold Winner go to the best two students; Marietta Stefani from Petra Christian University for the architecture category and Patricia Caitlyn Kurniawan from Pelita Harapan University for the interior design category.
Marietta Stefani says, “Even though this year’s contest ran virtually, it did not diminish my passion for giving my best. AYDA has provided a big change to my career opportunity in the future. It also motivated me to contribute greatly to the good of all Indonesians.”
Anto Sudaryanto, one of the judges for the architecture category, says, “This year is different because we can only see each other virtually during AYDA 2020/21. Something is certainly missing there, but it pays off to see everyone being passionate and committed to participating, starting from the submission process, coaching sessions, workshops, up to the Grand Final.”
“For the first time, Indonesia achieved a victory at AYDA Summit 2020, with Greta Elsa from Pelita Harapan University winning the ASIA YOUNG DESIGNER OF THE YEAR award in the Interior Design category, defeating other contestants from 14 countries. I am certain that this year Gold Winners in both Architecture and Interior Design categories will give their best for Indonesia,” he adds.
