Jayapura, Aktual.com – Provincial Government (Provincial) Papua reveal the stage of development of the ring road Papua has reached 70 percent.
“Actually, the way can be said to be 70 per cent has been done, the matter just because it takes a lot of bridges that span the river and there are quite wide,” said the head of the Regional Development Planning Board (Bappeda) Muhammad Musaad Papua in Jayapura on Tuesday (26/4).
He acknowledged to be able to complete the entire road and bridge construction projects needed long time and large funds, so for the short term in order to optimize it so that roads are built can be enabled first.
“But the important thing to pass first, but if you have to build bridges of iron and steel takes time because transport had to use helicopters,” he said.
Musaad explaining the construction of the ring road being worked on jointly between the central provincial and district Papua traversed the road construction.
“Now we are focused on completing the circumference of the central mountains, if it could be completed in 2017, the 2018 is already functional,” he said.
Musaad said the target of the 2018 road construction has been completed.
“Anything we do with mutual cooperation using state budget funds and also the provincial budget and district/city. So we want to accelerate, like the Bridge Holtekam, “said Musaad.
The road works are now carried out by the military who have experience in open access for isolated areas.
“This road is being done by the military, when it comes to the mountainous regions it certainly will give impact price in the mountains,” he said again.
