Surabaya, Aktual.com – Hundreds of former workers Pelabuhan Indonesia (Pelindo) III held a rally in front of the East Java governor’s office in the state building Grahadi Surabaya, Gubernur Suryo Street.
They urged the East Java Governor Soekarwo immediately call the Director of the General Director of Pelindo in order to stop all forms of layoff. And request that workers who had been dismissed unilaterally to call again be a permanent employee.
“This average has been working for 5 years. So two years ago, we are in training to become a permanent employee. Actually after taking part in training, we are even laid off. And we all have to work in the vital sectors,” said korlap action, Hamid, (13/4).
Hamid revealed, they got a heavy workload but with poor welfare. Apart from wages under government regulations, overtime is not paid.
Employment status was initially casual, contract, outsourcing to be given the opportunity to be through the recruitment process, but in the end will be transferred again to a subsidiary that labor suppliers, PT Pelindo Power Sejahtera.
Protesters also urged the Parliament formed a special committee to audit and inspect the management of Pelindo.
