Jakarta, Aktual.com – Bali import various types of machinery and equipment components production reached 131.99 million US dollars over 2015, down 62.43 percent over the previous year which reached 351.27 million US dollars.

“The import value compared to the acquisition value of exports is still considered relatively small, because shipments of various types come to Bali during 2015 could reap 498.68 million US dollars,” said Head of the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Bali, Ir Adi Nugroho in Denpasar on Monday (8/2).

He said for imports in December 2015 reached 12.62 million US dollars also decreased 29.71 percent over the same month in 2014 registered 17.96 million US dollars.

“But the value of these imports compared to the previous month (November 2015) increased by 32.80 percent, because of imports in November 2015 registered 9.50 million US dollars,” said Adi Nugroho.

Bali as a major tourist destination in Indonesia to import machinery and various kinds of items to be recycled into the production of goods and various types of souvenirs ready to be exported to foreign markets which can provide added value greater.

Imports of production equipment that is considered more advantageous because it provides added value in comparison to bring food or beverages to meet the needs of consumers, who only spend foreign exchange.

Bali importing production equipment (electrical equipment) and other production equipment capable of providing a positive impact in spurring economic growth and increasing foreign exchange earnings which in turn improves the welfare of local communities.

Adi Nugroho added, imported components, among other products the machines (mechanical) 22.89 percent, followed by mineral fuels products 16.55 percent and wheat products 16.08 percent.

It also brings the machine (electrical equipment) amounted to 12.12 percent and 5.54 percent optical device products.

Various types of foreign products that China imported 24.66 percent, 22.59 percent of Singapore, Vietnam 15.98 percent, 12.06 percent of the United States and Australia 10.58 percent, said Adi Nugroho.
