Jakarta, Aktual.com – Members of the House of Representatives Commission VII Iskan Qolba Lubis ask all parties to focus the debate Masela not at the construction site of an oil refinery, but rather the value of the benefit as much as possible for the prosperity of the people.
“All parties should focus on the value of benefits and the benefits to the state,” Iskan said in a statement received here on Thursday (3/3).
Politicians Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) had asked the government to retain the three principles related with Masela, among other things how the state sovereignty guaranteed under the constitution.
In addition, he said, the principle is to make sure the industry is growing around the site, as well as how to maintain local knowledge, since the natural wealth is a treasure that must be preserved.
According Iskan, The Upstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Task Force (SKK Migas) is not currently optimized to meet these three things so that in the future, he hopes the management of Pertamina take over Masela Block rather than left to the private sector.
“It’s our property assets, which should be used as development capital,” he said.
Therefore, he continued, the government should also strengthen Pertamina to be able to manage the Masela block.
