Jakarta, Aktual.com – President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) inaugurated Head of the National Counter Terrorism Agency (BNPT) M Tito Karnavian and Head of Maritime Security Agency (Bakamla) Arie Soedewo at the Presidential Palace on Wednesday (16/3).

Gen. Tito who previously served as Metro Jaya police chief Commissioner General Saud Usman replace retiring. Meanwhile Arie previously Logistics Assistant Chief of Naval Staff.

Officials who attended the inauguration, among others, Vice President Jusuf Kalla, Chairman of the People’s Consultative Assembly Zulkifli Hasan, head of the State Intelligence Agency (BIN) Sutiyoso, Attorney General Muhammad Prasetyo, National Police Chief Gen. Badrodin Haiti and the Coordinating Minister for Political Legal and Security Affairs Luhut B Pandjaitan.

Tito is the best alumni of the Police Academy in 1997 and holds a doctorate in Police Science academic. He was once the Papua Police Chief and Assistant Chief of Police Planning in addition to a dozen years as a special police anti-terror.

While the head of the new Bakamla served as Force Commander of the Eastern Fleet Command Sea Combat Commander Lantamal VI / Makassar and Expert Staff Coordinator of Navy.

With the new office, Tito will rise to three-star general while Arie will rise to Vice Admiral.
