Jakarta, aktual.com – The Covid-19 Emergency Hospital (RSDC) Wisma Atlet Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, is deemed necessary to increase the capacity of the treatment room. This is because there are still high positive cases of COVID-19 in the DKI Jakarta area, as of August 2, 2021.

To provide protection for medical personnel at the RSDC, Nippon Paint plans to coat the walls of the RSDC Wisma Atlet Kemayoran building with 800 liters of silver-ion formula anti-microbial paint on towers 4, 5, and 7 with a total area of ​​3,487 square meters.

“The number of Covid-19 cases in Indonesia is still high, especially in DKI Jakarta. Seeing the importance of protecting medical personnel and patients, Nippon Paint again donated to the Hospital, this time to the COVID-19 Emergency Hospital Wisma Atlet Kemayoran, Central Jakarta,” said Sales Project Manager of Nippon Paint Indonesia, Ramdhan Effendi, in a press release here. Meanwhile, Kurniawan Prabayudha, General Manager of Building Infrastructure Division from PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk, also expressed his appreciation and hoped that more frontline health workers could receive similar donation as the additional layer of protection against the COVID-19.

Coronaviruses, including the SARS-CoV-2, can live up to several days on surfaces such as metal, glass, wood, fabric, plastic, wall, and it is possible for a person to contract COVID-19 by touching a surface or object that has the virus on it and then touching their mouth, nose, or eyes. Therefore, eradicating viruses from surfaces could prevent the transmission to human.
