Palu, Aktual.com – A total of 361 heads of regions involved in corruption cases. It was stated by Deputy Internal Supervision and Complaints community (PPIM) Ranu Mihardja Commission before the head of the region and the leadership of Parliament on the agenda throughout Central Sulawesi Coordination and supervision of the prevention of corruption in Palu, Wednesday (10/8).

“According to the interior ministry as much as 343 regents / mayors and 18 governors stumble corruption,” he said.

Explains Ranu of 343 cases that led regents / mayors, 50 cases were handled by the KPK, while the rest is handled by law enforcement officials that prosecutors and police.

Then, he said, of the 18 cases that led the governor, 16 cases handled by the KPK and the two remaining cases are handled by the prosecutor.

“Corruption involving regional heads are generally related bribery in terms of licensing,” he said.

According to Ranu Mihardja, corruption is not only a matter of state losses and violations of the law, but also about the social deprivation of the people and undermine governance, as well as the morale of the nation.

“The motive of corruption also extends not only to enrich himself, but also to maintain their own power. So that the wider impact of reducing public confidence in the government,” he said.
