Jakarta, Aktual.com – Energy Watch Indonesia (EWI) was very disappointed to the government to hear their decree of PT Pertamina (Persero) to import gas (LNG) worth more than USD20 billion.
“This sad irony for our nation, when unclear of exploitation Masela Block progress, we are confronted with Pertamina’s decision to import gas (LNG) with total value more than $20Billion,” said Executive Director of EWI, Ferdinand Hutahaean, Thursday (21/1).
This import will be done from US with premises total value USD13 Billion and from Australia with value is almost the same thing. This transaction will take place over time for 20 years.
And than, according him people have the rightfull to disappointed and angry indicated to the government of inability to prioritize national interests, because that being weird is when indonesia gas balance is deficit but the government instead do export gas to China.
“The sad irony, certainly it is impossible we will angry if Pertamina performing the duties meet the gas needs for nation. That deserve criticism and anger from the public is the policy of the government that not put national interest to be priority and it is cause from all problems. When our gas balance is deficit, the government ekspor gas to China. Production of Donggi Senoro is not absorbed even up 15 more cargo,” he explained.
He accused the government has experienced a astray thought in issuing national gas management policy.
